Dana introduced the latest controller to join its highly versatile and successful OpenECU family of embedded controllers on stand 1707 at the Alternative Clean Transportation Expo 2016 on May 2nd.

The M110 is a 40-pin, multi-purpose module with a wide range of capabilities and is aimed at systems developers who need a controller with multiple CAN, LIN, SENT and analog I/O that can be configured to suit a variety of applications such as Can-to-CAN and Can-to-LIN gateway, CAN I/O expansion and smart relay driver, among many typical vehicle system controls. It’s SENT capabilities also provide for sensor spoofing where a non-SENT system is utilizing a SENT device sensor or actuator, supporting rapid control prototyping of mixed-protocol systems. These features, with the addition of analog outputs make the M110 a useful tool for developers of alternate fuel vehicle storage and delivery system controls, autonomous vehicle systems integration, diagnostics and health and utilization monitoring systems.

As with the other controllers in the OpenECU family, the M110 can form the basis of a custom ECU design to meet the specific requirements of a production controller, providing an accelerated path into volume supply. Speak to a Dana representative for more information on this innovative approach to custom electronics development.
