Included in this demo system, performing the role of power inverter, is Dana’s GaN Motor Controller board. With the drive toward electrification of traditionally mechanical auxiliary vehicle systems, the potential efficiency benefits of using gallium nitride semiconductors for motor control and power switching devices are beginning to be realized.
